Organizers of First Night Newtown, the annual New Year's Eve celebration at Council Rock North, have released a schedule of events. The night will feature live music, kids activities, food and fireworks. The cost to attend it $10. The theme for this year is "D.A.R.E. to Share." Click here for more information. "We will be working once again with the local D.A.R.E. program in our schools sponsored by the Newtown Township police and will also be collecting food for families in need," explained First Night organizer Paul Salvatore. First Night, Newtown’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration, will take place Dec. 31 beginning at 5 p.m. The festivities will be held at Council Rock High School North, with fireworks at Newtown Middle School.
