Police Report Altercation at CR North, Suspected Attempted Burglary in Newtown Walk

And Luna Chick reported that someone shoplifted a pair of black pants.

The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following recent activity: Friday, Oct. 12 At approximately 1 p.m., police were notified of a retail theft that occurred 20 minutes earlier at the Luna Chick business.  A pair of black pants valued at $88 was taken. Saturday, Oct. 13 At approximately 12 p.m., after hearing about the recent burglaries in the neighborhood, a homeowner of Hart Alley checked their second story windows and found that one of the windows had been tampered with. It is believed that entry was not made due to a large dog. Sunday, Oct. 14 At approximately 3:15 a.m. police were dispatched to the area of Fountain Farm Lane to meet with a taxi driver. The driver reported that his customer had fled the area on foot …

Township Police Report DUI in Wrightstown and More

Other incidents include "unruly" juveniles in the Sherwin Williams parking lot and a theft from a locker at the Newtown Athletic Club.

Just after 12 a.m. Monday, an officer observed a motorist stopped in the middle of the intersection of Routes 413 and 232 in Wrightstown Township.  Upon making contact with the 56 year-old man, who was slumped against the driver’s side window, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.  A PBT was given and the results supported the officer’s suspicion that the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The man was placed under arrest and transported to St. Mary Medical Center for a blood draw.   Monday, September 10 A resident of Kuhars Way called around 11 a.m. to report that his Apple iPod Nano had been stolen from his vehicle sometime back in May. The victim had stated that he did not report the loss at the time of the theft, but had just received a letter from Apple stating that the iPod had been recovered. The facilities manager for 100 Brandywine Blvd. called to inform police there was a tan colored Subaru with NJ registration that had been abandoned in the parking lot for approximately one month.  He asked that the registration be checked in case it was stolen. 10 Intoxicated Teens Cited After Throwing Glass

Police report that 10 teens be cited after a Saturday night incident in Wrightstown.

  Ten teenagers were cited with underage drinking after a wild Saturday night in Wrightstown Township. Officers were dispatched at 9 p.m. on Saturday to the area of Durham Road and Pine Lane after authorities received a report that several juveniles were throwing glass bottles at passing motorists, police said. Police at the scene reported finding the roadway littered with "large amounts of glass." It is believed that the shards of glass were the remains of liquor bottles. A nearby resident directed police toward the home where the teens were holding the party. As police approached the residence, several of the teens bolted toward the rear of the property. There were eye witnesses and everyone knows who the 2 boys are who threw the bottles. They ran away and got away with it. The 10 teens that are to be cited, had nothing to do with the throwing of glass bottles in the street. Authorities Investigate Burglary in Newtown Walk

Subject(s) burglarized one home and tried to enter a neighboring residence before an alarm was activated.

  Newtown police confirm that they are investigating a burglary which occurred last Friday evening in the Newtown Walk development. The home was broken into between 7 and 10 p.m. last Friday through a screen that was pryed off a second-floor back window, according to an email sent to residents of the development. The point of entry was above the house's laundry room. The residents reported no damage to the inside of the home, but gold jewelry was taken. Police were alerted when an alarm at a neighboring residence was activated when someone attempted to enter the nearby home. Caulk Writers Damage Barn Windows & More

Newtown police reported several incidents recently.

  Monday, August 13 Shortly before 11 a.m., a resident of Washington Avenue in Wrightstown reported that someone use caulk to write on two new windows that had been installed in his barn. The victim could not provide any information on who may have caused the damage.   Tuesday, August 14 A resident of Worthington Mill Road in Wrightstown came to police headquarters at approximately 2:30 p.m. to report that she has been receiving threatening texts from a known subject. Police Respond to Corny Call in Tyler Walk

A Newtown Township resident reported that juveniles throwing ears of corn at his house.

  Local police officers are prepared to deal with active shooters, investigate vehicle accidents and do much more, but how often do they search for corn-wielding teens? Well, they did early last Wednesday morning. Newtown Township officers reported to a Valley View Way residence after a homeowner reported hearing the unmistakable sound of corn hitting his house. The homeowner told police that juveniles were chucking ears of corn at his house. The man reported that the corn-throwers left the scene of the crime in a dark colored SUV, police said. Patrol units checked the Valley View Way area during the pre-dawn hours but did not located the subjects. A Google Maps view of Valley View Way revealed no corn fields in the neighborhood.   Let …

Police Look for Owner of Purse

Police also reported dealing with several other incidents recently.

  Tuesday, August 8 Shortly before 8 a.m., police were dispatched to the area Everett Drive for a report of a suspicious van that had been parked there the last two mornings.  Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the owner of the van and determined that he painting contractor and will be working within the development for the next few weeks Around 10:30 a.m., an officer on patrol stopped a motorist in the area of Durham Road near West Road. At the stop it was determined that the driver, 43 year-old Richard Garner, a Northampton Township resident, was driving while his license is under suspension and the registration on the vehicle had been suspended for insurance cancellation. Police Investigating Two Suspected Burglaries

Authorities are investigating two suspected burglaries that occurred in the area last week.

  Police are investigating two suspected residential burglaries that were reported in Wrightstown last week.   Last Tuesday evening at 5 p.m., a resident of the Wrenwood Way neighborhood in Wrightstown called to report of a burglary at her home. Police reported the victim told responding officers that she was away from the house for about four hours and returned home to find a window open and several items missing from the house. The resident claims the window was closed when she left the home. About 48 hours later, a Durham Road resident called police to report his laptop computer and several other items were gone from his home, police said. The resident said he was away from his home in the 800 block of Durham Road for most of Thursday …

Police Seek Witnesses to Durham Road Gun Incident

A man reported to police that a motorcyclist with a pistol approached his vehicle Sunday evening.

  Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a motorcyclist with an pistol approach a car stopped at the intersection of Durham Road and Second Street Pike in Wrightstown Township. A Newtown Township man traveling south on Durham Road Sunday evening at around 6:45 was stopped at a traffic signal when one of two motorcycle riders that were behind him allegedly walked up to the driver’s-side of his car with a pistol in hand, police said. The man with the gun only turned away and returned to his motorcycle after his riding partner began yelling at him, police said.
