Starbucks Introduces $1 Reusable Cups

The cups will be cleaned with boiling water at each refill and customers will get $0.10 off their coffee when they reuse.

Starbucks is introducing an affordable way for its customers to reduce waste. The Huffington Post reported that starting today, it will offer $1 reusable cups. Customers who use the cups, which look like the standard paper cups with the Starbucks logo, will get a dime off their beverage. The cups will be cleaned in boiling by Starbucks staff each time they are brought in for use. According to its website, Starbucks has a goal to serve five percent of beverages in personal reusable tumblers by 2015.

Buy One, Get One Holiday Drinks at Starbucks this Week

Starbucks holding its Buy One, Share One holiday drink event again this week.

The holidays are right around the corner, slow down and share some time with a special person in your life. Beginning today, local Starbucks stores will be holding another Buy One, Share One event. The event ends Sunday, Dec. 16. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., when you purchase one of Starbucks' holiday beverages – a caramel brûlée latte, peppermint mocha, or gingerbread latte – you'll get a second one free. Take advantage of the Buy One, Share One event at Starbucks Coffee on State St.

Massive Peanut Product Recall Expands to Starbucks, Target, Wal-Mart

The recall of products containing peanut butter and other nut butters sold by many retailers under many labels has more than doubled to 240 products, with the FDA reporting a 'fast-moving outbreak' of salmonella-induced sickness in 19 states.

Responding to what it called a "fast-moving outbreak" of salmonella-caused sickness in at least 19 states, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced recently that a recall of nut butter products made by Sunland Inc. has more than doubled to at least 240 products. The recall list includes several well-known brands and a variety of peanut butter products as well as almond butter, cashew butter, tahini and roasted blanched peanut products. Included are: Not every container of the products in the list above or the much longer lists available from the FDA and from Sunland is affected. This Friday, try one of Starbucks new Refreshers for free. Starbucks stores are giving away 12 oz. Refreshers on Friday, July 13 from noon until 3 p.m.. The new Refreshers come in two flavors: Very Berry Hibiscus with whole blackberries, and Cool Lime, and are made with green coffee extract, all of the natural caffeine from the coffee bean, but none of the coffee flavor. BCCC Debuts New Cafe With Starbucks Kiosk

Bucks County Community College recently completed renovations to its cafeteria. New features include a Starbucks kiosk and renovated dining areas.

Bucks County Community College recently updated its student cafeteria. Improvements include a new Bucks Cafe with a Starbucks kiosk as well as renovated dining areas. The grand opening for the new Bucks Cafe is today. To celebrate the occassion, any size drip coffee is 99 cents today.

I am very disappointed with the service of Starbucks coffee at BCCC. There is no professional dealing with customers. It happened to me twice and with the same Starbucks employee. I think I won’t come back for the coffee there anymore. That’s enough.   more ›

BCCC to Begin School Year With Three New Majors, Updated Cafeteria

Bucks County Community College now has 86 total majors for students to pick from, plus a renovated cafeteria with a Starbucks kiosk.

Bucks County Community College will begin the fall semester later this month with three new majors and a renovated cafeteria. Fall classes at BCCC begin Aug. 24. The college now offers a certificate in Recreation Leadership and associate’s degrees in Health Information Technology and Criminal Justice in addition to the existing 83 programs. The classes were added due to demand, Dean of Academic and Curricular Services Catherine McElroy said. “At Bucks, we continually review our majors to make sure we are meeting the needs of various fields and the needs of students who want to enter those careers,” she said. “These changes reflect those needs.” Harvey Ellis, the Area Coordinator for Criminal Justice, said the criminal justice program was …
