According to Newtown Township police, a man attempted to rob the TD Bank on West Road at 8:30 a.m. He was arrested without incident, police said. The Council Rock Education Foundation last week received an $8,700 donation from TD Bank through its Affinity Program. The money, which was presented at last week's Council Rock School Board meeting, will be used to support innovative educational programs in Council Rock schools, CREF officials said. Bryan McWilliams, Vice-President and Manager of TD Bank’s Upper Silver Lake Rd. branch in Newtown, presented the check to the foundation. “TD Bank is passionate about investing back into our communities,” McWilliams said.
