BCCC Hosting Financial Aid Forum

Wednesday's forum is free and open to the public. It will be held on the Newtown Campus.

  Bucks County Community College is hosting a Financial Aid Information Night Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Newtown Campus’ Gateway Auditorium. The forum is free and will guide parents and students on how to complete federal forms to apply for financial aid at any college or university. “We’ll go over the FAFSA line by line,” explained Donna Wilkoski, the college’s Director of Financial Aid.  “People look at the (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form and feel it’s overwhelming the first time they do it. But it’s the best way to find out if you qualify for aid, and the earlier you file, the better.” The FAFSA must be filled out annually by college students and their parents to determine eligibility for federal financial aid. Art on the Move

BCCC's Artmobile, a 48-foot semi trailer, visits approximately 35 schools each year to showcase museum-quality works.

Since 1976, Bucks County Community College’s Artmobile has made it possible for thousands of students to experience an art museum without ever leaving their school parking lot. The Artmobile, a 48-foot semi trailer, is essentially a museum on wheels. Each year, it visits approximately 35 schools, showcasing professional works in displays that rotate annually. Fran Orlando, Artmobile director, said the traveling exhibit began as a bicentennial project in 1976. “It became incredibly popular during the energy crises of the 70s. Artmobile was a way of bringing the field trip to the school,” she said. Hot Diggity Dog

A crowd of hungry Bucks County Community College students competed Wednesday in a Hot Dog Eating Contest on campus.

Dylan McGuckin ate seven and a half hot dogs in 10 minutes to win Bucks County Community College's Hot Dog Eating Contest on Wednesday. Steve Butrica and Bobby Lang came in second. Eddie Penczak and Ryan Moyers placed third.  The Hot Dog Eating Contest was sponsored by the Student Programming Board, which is dedicated to creating educational, cultural, social, and recreational activities for the students.

BCCC Hosts Literature Event in Honor of Women's History Month

The Language and Literature Department at Bucks County Community College hosted the 10th annual event Monday to celebrate Women’s History Month.

Bucks County Community College held its 10th annual Reading & Writing Women event on Monday, March 28 in the Gateway Atrium. The event was an opportunity for students and faculty to celebrate literature written by women.
