The Newtown Original Brewfest 2012 will be held at a new location this year.
One of Newtown’s two popular beer festivals has a new home. On Saturday, October 20, the Annual Newtown Original Brewfest will be held at the Newtown Athletic Club. Holding Brewfest at the NAC, as opposed to the Newtown Swim Club, will offer attendees both indoor and outdoor tastings, two live music performance stages and more, organizers said. General admission tickets to the fest cost $40. If you are a designated driver, a ticket will cost you $10. If you are willing shell out $70 for a VIP ticket, you will get access to a private section at Brewfest that will allow ticket-holders to sample gourmet specialty beers, an extra hour to sample all beers, food ticket voucher and free t-shirt.
