Hundreds of children ages 3 to 7 came out for Saturday's event in Newtown Township
The 4th Annual Newtown Township Candy Cane Hunt was again a success this year as hundreds of children ages 3 to 7 turned out to participate. The event, held at Roberts Ridge Park, featured a visit from Santa and a chance for kids to find candy canes. The event was organized by Newtown Township Parks and Recreation.

Newtown Township's annual Candy Cane Hunt is Saturday and there are spots left for children ages 3 to 7 to participate. The hunt, organized by Newtown Township Parks and Recreation, kicks off at 11 a.m. at Roberts Ridge Park. It is free but registration is required. Children will be separated into two age groups. Santa will be there to join in the fun. After the hunt, there will be holiday refreshments and prizes. Parents must accompany children. Bring a camera for candid photos with Santa. Volunteers 15 and older are also needed. Call the Parks and Recreation Department to register or volunteer at 215-968-2800 ext 239.
