BCCC Students to Present Comedy Showcase
The production, called “Now Playing,” will be performed Dec. 7 and 8 at the college's Newtown Campus.
More than a dozen students are preparing for Bucks County Community College's biannual comedy showcase, which will be held Dec. 7 and 8 at the Newtown Campus. The production, called “Now Playing,” will feature performances of short- and long-form comedy improv based on audience suggestions. The cast consists of 15 students who are studying improvisational performance at the college. The biannual comedy showcase is directed by Bill McLaughlin, a comedy veteran who has taught improvisational performance at his alma mater for seven years. The Morrisville resident honed his comedy craft in Chicago under the tutelage of the famous Del Close, and then spent the next 25 years performing improv in New York City, according to information provided …
