August 19: Gospel Service, Cow Chip Bingo Cap off Grange Fair

  After several days of excitement, the Grange Fair comes to a close Sunday afternoon. Saturday was filled with sunny skies and hoards of folks visting to enjoy the fair and its many activities. The weather for the final day of the fair looks perfect. Expect plenty of sun and a high of 82 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Staff from the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds staff will be at the fair from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. to help veterans register for the county's Veterans ID Discount Card program. Regular admittance to the fair cost $10 per a carload. Below is a listing of the day's planned events. August 18: Tractor Pull, Chicken Dinner at Grange

There are lots of exciting events happening Saturday at the Grange Fair.

  Friday marked another fun-filled and exciting day at the Grange Fair in Wrightstown. Saturday is expected to bring out large crowds as the fair enters the weekend. The much anticipated Pedal Power Tractor Pull will be taking place at 11 a.m. at near the Entertainment Tent. Also, the tickets for the evening chicken dinner go on sale in the afternoon. There is a chance of rain storms before 11 a.m. but the rest of the day should feature partly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. The high tempaure should max out at around 80 degrees. Regular admittance to the fair cost $10 per a carload. Below is a listing of the day's planned events. August 17: Friday at the Grange Fair

Don't miss the Hot Dog Pig Races at the Middletown Grange Fair on Friday.

  Thursday was another wonderful night at the Middletown Grange Fair. Evening thunderstorms could cause problems at the fairgrounds on Friday, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The high temperature is expected to get close to 90 degrees. Staff from the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds staff will be at the fair though Sunday during the evening hours to help veterans register for the county's Veterans ID Discount Card program. Veterans Discount Card Program at Grange

The county program will have a table at the Middletown Grange Fair through the weekend.

  From BucksCounty.org: The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds staff will be on hand at the Middletown Grange Fair, as they again take the Veterans ID Discount Card program on the road. The program will be available inside the Bucks County Government At Your Side Tent, located at the corner of Pig Lane and Farmer’s Way inside the fairgrounds. Staff will be on hand to issue cards during the following times: Interested veterans must bring their original DD-214 form in order for the Recorder of Deeds staff to proceed with issuing the cards. Information about the program is available by calling 215-348-6209. To date, over 200 Bucks County businesses have agreed to offer substantial veterans discounts (5-20 percent on merchandise and services) to …

Talked to a representative from the Commissioners office yesterday, and he said there are more than 4,500 Bucks County veterans signed up for the program. He also said they are working hard to get more big box stores to offer discounts.   more ›

Representatives from the Bucks County Democratic and Republican parties gave their opinions while working the booths at the Grange Fair in Wrightstown.

Since Wednesday morning's release of Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson's decision to uphold Pennsylvania's controversial Voter ID law, national opinion has mostly split down party lines. If you are a Republican, you likely think that the law is necessary to prevent voter fraud and ensure a fair and honest election in November. As a Democrat, you probably agree with your party members that the law will disenfranchise thousands of voters. What's your side?
