Newtown Township's solicitor has reached out to County Builders regarding the prospect of building townhomes on the 16-acre Newtown Swim Club site instead of a trailer park.

Newtown Township's solicitor has been in touch with the developer of a proposed trailer park to inquire if he would consider resubmitting plans for townhouses on the Newtown Swim Club property. According to Newtown Township Board of Supervisors Chairman Mike Gallagher, solicitor Jeffrey Garton has reached out to County Builders to see if it would again consider a townhome plan instead of a trailer park. The builder's attorney is expected to respond within the next week or two, Gallagher said. Anonymous Person Creates 'CR North Insults' Facebook Page

A Facebook page called CR North Insults has been created as a response to a CR North Compliments Facebook page.

Editor's note, 8:40 p.m. Tuesday: The CR North Insults page has since been removed from Facebook Earlier this month, Patch reported that a mystery person created a Facebook page, CR North Compliments, to anonymously say nice things about students at the Newtown high school. And now, a page that does quite the opposite has popped up. CR North Insults, a Facebook page created by an unknown person on Jan. 24, uses the social media site to make cracks about students. As of Monday night, 257 people were following the page. "Due to Newton's third law of motion, for every action there is is always an equal and opposite reaction...so I took the liberty of creating that opposite reaction," reads a post on the page introducing its intent. The …

CR North Insults page seems to have been taken down. Maybe the reporting influenced complaints, and FB found a violation. Or maybe the kids who started it were embarrassed of their actions - which they should be. While this isn't necessarily hot-button breaking news, it seems like reporting about it shined a light on the situation that brought a good result.   more ›

MOO Truck Mooves to Ottsville

The popular food truck that parked at Carousel Village will now operate a permanent location in Ottsville.

MOO, the food truck based out of Carousel Village, has mooved on. The truck, operated by Evan Asoudegan, was a popular area spot for burgers, fries and salads made from local ingredients. Due to its success, owner Asoudegan has decided to open a permanent location in Upper Bucks County. The new MOO is located 4010 Durham Road/Route 412 in Ottsville. It opened last week. Patch interviewed Asoudegan in December 2011, just as he began serving out of the food truck. “Ninety percent of everything is local and organic,” Asoudegan said at the time. Eating local was a cornerstone philosophy in Asoudegan’s upbringing. “It’s pretty much how I was raised,” he said.  The menu includes the “MOO Burger,” made from local beef, pickles (Asoudegan makes …
