The supervisors on Wednesday approved the development and stormwater management agreements for Delancey Court, which was recently purchased by Toll Brothers, under the condition that the clubhouse be completed by June 1, 2014.
The residents of Delancey Court who have long awaited the construction of a clubhouse can be assured the amenity will be in place by June 1, 2014 thanks to a condition approved Wednesday by the township Board of Supervisors. The supervisors approved the development and stormwater management agreements for the development, which was started by McGrath but recently purchased by Toll Brothers, under the condition that the clubhouse be completed by June 1, 2014. The clubhouse must be constructed by that date or the developer will not receive the Certificates of Occupancy for the final 15 residential units. Toll Brothers has taken over the completion of a Newtown Township age-restricted housing development off Route 413. Toll Brothers flags now line the entry into the Delancey Court community. Delancey Court was started by McGrath but in recent years, construction has halted. According to a report published by the Courier Times, Toll Brothers has purchased 66 unfinished lots at the site. There are already 48 townhouses finished and occupied. The blackened skeleton of the home serves as a dismal reminder of the inferno that consumed it after lightening struck it the afternoon of July 28. However, according to Toll Brothers officials, there's nothing they can do at the property because the home is privately owned. "The damaged home is a private residence over which Toll Brothers has no control," said company Senior Vice President Dave Anderson.
