Police report that 10 teens be cited after a Saturday night incident in Wrightstown.
Ten teenagers were cited with underage drinking after a wild Saturday night in Wrightstown Township. Officers were dispatched at 9 p.m. on Saturday to the area of Durham Road and Pine Lane after authorities received a report that several juveniles were throwing glass bottles at passing motorists, police said. Police at the scene reported finding the roadway littered with "large amounts of glass." It is believed that the shards of glass were the remains of liquor bottles. A nearby resident directed police toward the home where the teens were holding the party. As police approached the residence, several of the teens bolted toward the rear of the property. If so, Concert in the Bark this Saturday at the Middletown Grange Fairground might just the place for you. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. and supports Focus on Homeless Animals, a Bucks County-based animal rescue charity based in Washington Crossing. Firefighters from several departments responded to a heavy smoke condition at a home on Rushland Road near the Wrightstown border.
Firefighters from several area departments responded to a reported fire at a home near the Wrightstown/Warwick border. Arriving crews from Warwick found a heavy smoke condition on the second and third floor of a home in the 3000 block of Rushland Road, according to county radio reports from shortly after 4 p.m. An incident commander at the scene reported to the county that he believed the smoke was connected to electrical issue and that firefighters were working to quell "hot spots" in the home. A fire marshal was dispatched to the scene to further investigate. No word on injuries or the extend of the damage. A man reported to police that a motorcyclist with a pistol approached his vehicle Sunday evening.
Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a motorcyclist with an pistol approach a car stopped at the intersection of Durham Road and Second Street Pike in Wrightstown Township. A Newtown Township man traveling south on Durham Road Sunday evening at around 6:45 was stopped at a traffic signal when one of two motorcycle riders that were behind him allegedly walked up to the driver’s-side of his car with a pistol in hand, police said. The man with the gun only turned away and returned to his motorcycle after his riding partner began yelling at him, police said. Nestled about a quarter mile off Thompson Mill Road in Wrightstown sits what the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation calls “one of the region’s most significant private gardens.” The owners of the over 100-acre Hortulus Farm, Nursery and Gardens - filled with meadows, streams and luscious gardens - Renny Reynolds and Jack Staub plan to turn the farm into a preserved public garden that will be open to the public for generations to come. Several local Twitter users met at a Wrightstown ice cream shop on Wednesday.
Tweeters from across Bucks County made it to a "tweet-up" hosted at O Wow Cow Creamery in Wrightstown Township Wednesday afternoon. The gathering was put together as a way for local Twitter users to meet and get to know eachother. O Wow Cow Creamery is one of a number of local businesses to use social meeting to draw customers and interact with regular customers. Twitter launched in 2006 and has since grown to have over 110 million users in the United States and hundreds of million more around the globe. Today kicked off Wrightstown's Village Renaissance Faire. Guests were taken back in time to experience jousting, a fruit catapult, historical reenactments, music and more. The Faire will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. again tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Village Library of Wrightstown.

There were eye witnesses and everyone knows who the 2 boys are who threw the bottles. They ran away and got away with it. The 10 teens that are to be cited, had nothing to do with the throwing of glass bottles in the street. The police knew that the kids responsible ran away so that's why the 10 tens are not being charged with that. Not sure why the police aren't citing the 2 boys who threw the …   more ›
