Zoës Kitchen to Open May 9

The restaurant, to be located on Sycamore Street next to Jules Thin Crust in the Goodnoe Corner Shopping Center, will take over the space formerly occupied by Cosi.

Zoës, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, will open May 9 in Newtown.

The restaurant, to be located on Sycamore Street next to Jules Thin Crust in the Goodnoe Corner Shopping Center, will take over the space formerly occupied by Cosi.

To celebrate its opening in Newtown, the fast-casual restaurant will be giving away 500 meals. To enter to win a free meal, visit Zoës Kitchen’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/ZoesKitchen. The contest runs through May 6.

The Newtown restaurant will be Zoës’ 86th location nationwide and its second in Pennsylvania. Zoës offers a variety of fresh salads and entrees, including chicken kabobs, chicken rollups and hummus. It also offers gluten-free options.

“There has been tremendous growth in the Newtown area and we’re excited that Zoës is a part of the boom,” said Brian Waghalter, regional operator of Zoës Kitchen in Newtown. “We are thrilled to be a part of the community here and to continue our growth in this new shopping area.” 

The 98-seat restaurant will have WiFi for guests as well as outdoor seating for 30.  Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

“As always, the focus will be on serving food of exceptional quality and using fresh ingredients prepared daily from original recipes; perfect for busy people who want to eat well with a little help from a friendly, neighborhood kitchen. Fresh is the focus, and unlike most restaurant kitchens, there are no fryers or microwaves at Zoës,” the restaurant said in a press release.
