Charles Barkley Spotted at Sycamore Grill

Former NBA great Charles Barkley had dinner at the Sycamore Grill Friday evening.

Former NBA star Charles Barkley was spotted having dinner Friday night in Newtown.

The former league MVP, a power forward who earned the nickname "the Round Mound of Rebound," had dinner at the Sycamore Grill, according to residents who saw him at the local restaurant.

He was sitting at the head of the table with about eight people, a source told Patch.

Barkley, a former 76er who also played several years for the Phoenix Suns, is married to Council Rock alumni Maureen Blumhardt.

After Patch made a call out on Facebook to see if residents had seen the professional athlete around town, a relative of Blumhardt said via the social media site that she had dinner with Barkley Friday night at the Sycamore Street eatery.
