Oishi Moves, Korean Restaurant to Open in Old Location

Oishi has moved but loyal customers won’t have much further to go for their sushi fix.

The Asian-inspired restaurant has moved its location across the street next to Saladworks. The restaurant officially opened in the new location in late March. 

Oishi converted two vacant spaces into one restaurant totaling more than 4,800-square-feet. The 179-seat restaurant is located near Serenity Nails in the section of the shopping center that also includes McCaffrey’s supermarket

According to a sign on the window, a restaurant serving modern Korean food will open in the old location, near Pier 1 Imports, later this spring. That restaurant, called KO, will be operated by the owners of Oishi. Click here to view the menu.

According to its website, Oishi is a family-owned restaurant that opened in Newtown in 1999.

Oishi, which means "delicious" in Japanese, offers an array of Japanese, Korean and Thai cuisine.
