Pennswood Village Collects Bikes, Sewing Machines for "Bikes for the World" Charity

The Pennswood Village Residents Association is sponsoring
the 7th Annual Bike and Sewing Machine Collection Drive to benefit Bikes for
the World, a nonprofit charity focused on providing bicycles to lower income
people and select institutions in developing countries. The charity also works
to generate skilled employment in bicycle repair and maintenance overseas.

Residents will collect bikes and sewing machines to support
this cause. A $10 per bike donation is suggested to defray the cost to ship the
items to overseas charity partners. A receipt will be provided for all material
and cash donations.

Pennswood Village is a Quaker-directed continuing care
retirement community (CCRC) for people 65 and over. Nestled in the beautiful
countryside of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Pennswood is a welcoming place of
true hospitality that offers many opportunities for physical, intellectual, social
and spiritual growth. Find out more at pennswood.org.
