Gas Prices Rise 8 Cents in a Week

After a slight drop in the last week of July, gas prices rise about 8 cents in the first week of August. Where's the cheapest gas in Newtown?

In the Bucks and Montgomery area, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.701 per gallon, which is 7.6 cents higher than a week ago, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In the last week of July, prices dropped about 1 cent per gallon, but the report indicates that prices for crude oil moved above $90 a barrel after a positive U.S. jobs report on Friday. More employment, means more fuel is in demand and that pushes prices higher.
