10 Intoxicated Teens Cited for Throwing Glass

Police report that 10 teens be cited after a Saturday night incident in Wrightstown.

Ten teenagers were cited with underage drinking after a wild Saturday night in Wrightstown Township.

Officers were dispatched at 9 p.m. on Sunday to the area of Durham Road and Pine Lane after authorities received a report that several juveniles were throwing glass bottles at passing motorists, police said.

Police at the scene reported finding the roadway littered with "large amounts of glass." It is believed that the shards of glass were the remains of liquor bottles.

A nearby resident directed police toward the home where the teens were holding the party. As police approached the residence, several of the teens bolted toward the rear of the property.

Officers located all of the teens and notified their parents. The guardians of the teens responded to take charge of their teenager," police said.

The group of teens will be cited by police for the underage drinking incident. One teen will face an additional citation for possessing alcohol while under the legal age.

Authorities had to call in PennDOT to remove the glass from the roadway.

That's it? Only charged with underage drinking after tossing glass bottles at passing cars? Amazing.

Yes, according to police.

Someone would have to be an eye witness to a specific individual throwing a bottle. Or someone would have to admit it. They seem a bit stupid, so maybe one or two will confess.

There were eye witnesses and everyone knows who the 2 boys are who threw the bottles. They ran away and got away with it. The 10 teens that are to be cited, had nothing to do with the throwing of glass bottles in the street. The police knew that the kids responsible ran away so that's why the 10 tens are not being charged with that. Not sure why the police aren't citing the 2 boys who threw the bottles, everyone know who they are and they were asked to stop but said no because they couldn't stop laughing at the cars swerving! Sick kids!!
