Police at the scene reported finding the roadway littered with "large amounts of glass." It is believed that the shards of glass were the remains of liquor bottles.

A nearby resident directed police toward the home where the teens were holding the party. As police approached the residence, several of the teens bolted toward the rear of the property.

Officers located all of the teens and notified their parents. The guardians of the teens responded to take charge of their teenager," police said.

The group of teens will be cited by police for the underage drinking incident. One teen will face an additional citation for possessing alcohol while under the legal age.

Authorities had to call in PennDOT to remove the glass from the roadway.
