Newtown Man Involved in Middletown Crash

A Newtown man was driving when he struck a utility pole, shrubs and a tree.

 

An accident caused by a Newtown resident sliced a utility pole in Middletown Township into two pieces Wednesday evening.

The driver is reported to have lost control of his vehicle on Langhorne-Yardley Road. During the crash, the car went down a small embankment, struck several scrubs and ended up coming to rest upon a tree.

The name of the male driver is being withheld pending the results of blood test, Middletown police Sgt. Michael Lubold told Phillyburbs.com. The driver was transported to St. Mary Medical Center.
