Troopers to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint in Bucks

Troopers will stop vehicles at an undisclosed location to look for signs of DUI.

Between July 20-22, the station will conduct a sobriety checkpoint somewhere in Bucks County.

The location of the checkpoint was not released.

According to Station Commander Sgt. Johnathan Nederostek, during a sobriety checkpoint troopers systematically stop vehicles at selected locations to briefly observe drivers for signs associated with alcohol or drug impaired drivers.

The goal of a sobriety checkpoint is to reduce the number of drug and alcohol related crashes and to reduce the number of DUI drivers on Pennsylvania roads.
