Beerfest, Village Renaissnace Faire and Pet Fair
Plus, the Makefield's Women Association is hosting a Harvest Day event at Shady Brook Farm.
What: The event will feature beer from more than 80 breweries, as well as live music and food. Proceeds benefit the Newtown Fire Association.
When/where: Saturday from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at The Stocking Works, 410 South State St.

What: Take yourself back a few centuries later this month at the Village Renaissance Faire, a recreation of a 12th through 16th century village named Penns Park.
When/where: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Rd, Wrightstown (use Newtown in GPS).

What: The Makefield Women’s Association’s Harvest Day will feature fine art and handmade items from more than 100 exhibitors, plus food and live entertainment.
When/where: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Shady Brook Farm

What: Newtown Veterinary Hospital, 107 Penns Trail, is hosting its annual pet fair to feature family and pet activities, live entertainment and a pet parade. All pets are welcome.
When/where: Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Pet parade is at 3:30 p.m.

What: Council Rock North High School’s orchestra is holding a car wash to raise money for a trip to Costa Rica.
When/where: Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Newtown Ambulance Squad on Eagle Road.
What: Newtown Township’s Bird Town is hosting a native plant
and seed exchange
When: Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, at the township municipal building parking lot
