Crews Battle Blaze at State Street Business

The blaze at Trattoria Tiramisu was first reported around 6:15 a.m.

A fire broke out early Friday morning at Trattoria Tiramisu on State Street in Newtown Borough.
UPDATE: The restaurant has since reopened for business.
The blaze was first reported around 6:15 a.m. Friday. Shortly after 6:30 a.m., it was under control, according to a report on Action News.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out in the rear of the restaurant. Around 7:30 a.m., crews were still putting out smoke on the second story, eyewitnesses said. No injuries were reported.
Trattoria Tiramisu is an Italian restaurant that opened earlier this year. It is located in the space formerly occupied by Palate, next to the shoe repair shop.
